Kuwait – Downtown definitely created a huge buzz around the social circles here in town. Their staff went around and danced performed right there in their lobby in front of surprised and awestruck guests and other staff. They did a Flash mob performance! Whoa! Cool!
I don’t care whether the dance was or was not well choreographed or they whether they looked awkward. What mattered is the spirit of the performance. They looked game for the show. Remember they are all expats working for the hotel and they all had to do extra hours to come up with this performance.
The first time I just watched it a few seconds but later changed my mind and went on to watch the whole video. So, on a second note, I did like their performance. Obviously, the beginning it was a bit out of place, but later the staff warmed up and were all out enjoying themselves. A stress reliever I must say – Dancing is! Given the society that we live in, where people don’t dance openly but only at private events, I must say it is really good and very sporty of their staff who must have volunteered to come up there and perform. It takes some guts to come up on the floor and perform when you know that the whole world is going to be watching YOU. They songs they performed to were in English, Arabic, Sinhalese, Hindi (Dhinka Chika - watch this funny video), Tagolog
Holiday Inn is definitely getting huge mileage from their Flash mob performance and it will be talked around for some time. Way to go Holiday Inn and kudos to your staff!
